I grew up in Nothern Illinois, where Sunnyside Drive meets Carefree Avenue. At the end of our street was a bubble gum factory that caused our neighborhood to smell like different flavors of bubble gum, depending on the day. My favorite days were the watermelon days. I consider myself an eternal optimist, daydreamer, and lover of all things creative. I talk to my dogs like they’re people, can see the beauty in almost anything, paint pictures and stories in my head, and take old Buster Keaton silent films very seriously. When I'm not illustrating or chasing an artistic whim, I can often be found chasing fireflies, rainbows, raindrops, or any other naturally occurring magical event. I am currently living in East Tennessee, where I spend the rest of my spare moments gardening and wondering over the beauty of creation.
